Vaumartin: A Stable at the Heart of Equestrian Endurance
The Vaumartin stable, located in Cravent and specializing in trail riding, trekking, and endurance, organized its ninth endurance race on March 30th. An event that brought together 86 riders from the Île-de-France region, neighboring regions, and also from the north and south of France.
Equestrian Endurance: A True Marathon for Horses
Equestrian endurance is a demanding discipline that can be compared to a marathon for humans. The goal is not only to cover long distances but also to manage the horse's effort so that it finishes the race in peak condition. It is a sport that combines stamina, strategy, and a bond between the rider and their mount.
During this edition, participants were able to compete over various distances adapted to all levels:
• 10 km, an event specially designed for young riders in training.
• 20, 30, 40 and 60 km, classic courses for endurance enthusiasts.
• 80 and 100 km, free-speed races, true challenges for seasoned riders.
A Great Diversity of Horses
The event brought together a wide variety of horses, illustrating the richness of this discipline. From the small pony, perfect for introducing the youngest riders, to the magnificent Arabian thoroughbred, the absolute benchmark in endurance for high-level riders, every mount had its role to play. This diversity testifies to the accessibility and openness of equestrian endurance to everyone.

This event would not have been possible without the support of the Communauté de Communes des Portes de l’Île-de-France (CCPIF), the Cravent town hall, and the Comité Régional d’Équitation d’Île-de-France. Their commitment allows this competition to grow and offer optimal conditions for riders and their mounts.

An Exceptional 10th Edition in September
The Vaumartin stable is already inviting endurance enthusiasts to join them on the last Sunday of September for its 10th edition, which will mark a major milestone: the organization of the Grand Régional Île-de-France endurance final. An unmissable event for all enthusiasts of the discipline.
A Stable Open to All
Beyond competitions, Vaumartin offers discovery rides, outings for experienced riders, as well as introductions to endurance competition.
